• You can canvas individual companies directly and ask them if they have trainee positions available. Your success rate will vary, as not all Swedish companies offer internships in English. • AIESEC, the international student organization, organizes the placement of internships in Sweden, as it does in many different countries. You should visit your home country’s AIESEC site, where the application process typically begins.
• If you're looking for experience in the fields of engineering, the natural sciences or other technical fields, then IAESTE (the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) can help you. The Swedish IAESTE site is good resources for new arrivals. Still, you should begin your application with your home country’s local IAESTE committee.
• Law students and young lawyers can benefit from trainee exchanges organized by the European Law Students Association, ELSA. The programs let you live and work abroad for a period of time, including in Sweden.
